Rishi Opel - Writer & Director
The Grind is Rishi’s feature film directorial debut having worked on numerous productions for both the big and small screen. His previous work as a Cinematographer includes the controversial thriller 'Camp X-Ray: Ghosts of Guantánamo Bay'. The Grind is based on Rishi’s successful short film ‘Young, Armed And Dangerous’ which was screened at the Portobello Film Festival.

Freddie Connor – Producer
The Grind is Freddie’s debut feature as producer. Freddie has had extensive experience within the U.K. independent film industry. He started his career in front of the camera and he also played one of the main supporting roles in the internationally acclaimed and award winning feature film "Gypo," released by Lions Gate Films in 2007.

Stephen Follows – Producer
Stephen is an award-wining producer whose work has showcased on television as well as at numerous film festivals worldwide. His most recent project, ‘Space Chase’, was shortlisted in the top ten the 2006 Cannes short film market. 'Space Chase' has been screened at over thirty international film festivals and has been picked up by American distributor ‘Big Film Shorts’. Stephen currently is a member of the BBC Film Network’s industry panel and acts as a Consultant Producer on many short films.

Carl J Davies - Co-Producer & Marketing Co-ordinator
Carl has been making and involved with a multitude of short films and TV programmes over the last decade. He brings his 10 years of experience in the TV and film industry, and also his extensive work in independant short film directing. Carl designed and built The Grind website, as well as managing promotional aspects for The Grind, including social media and artwork designs. Carl also provided a framework and strategy in completing the film, liasing with crew on post-production and helping Rishi film a number of final sequences which brought the film to a release standard.

Bo Bilstrup - Cinematography
Bo Bilstrup has been fascinated by movies since childhood in his native country Denmark. At the age of 16 he bought a second hand analogue camera and experimented with still photography. Through the use of film stock and a black and white enlarger went on to learn how to develop film in various ways. He joined film & television class after passing the higher preparatory examination at the age of 18. Two years later he entered the European Film College, passing the diploma one year later. Bo started out working as a gaffer in Copenhagen, learning the art of painting with light. With a great skill mastering light and shadow, Bo moved up and started working as a Director of Photography on a great variety of films, music videos, commercials and documentaries. He moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and since then has been commuting between LA, Copenhagen and London to work on numerous projects. Bo has developed his own distinctive style of cinematography with a keen artistic and versatile understanding of the interplay between light and motion.

Rob Kubicki aka The Rocket Scientist - Sound Designer & Trance Music Producer
Rob is a London based sound designer. He works closely with directors, animators and graphic designers in composition of sound design for films, animations and sound installations. In his spare time, Rob makes electronic music as The Rocket Scientist. His dark live sound installations have been played in London, Berlin and his hometown, Poznan.

Michael Stirling - Colourist
Michael is a Colourist with over a decade of experience in Production and Post-Production. He is an accredited (Da Vinci / International Colorists Academy) Resolve Colourist with a number of feature credits to his name along with factual TV credits (Discovery and More4) and commercial, music and fashion promo projects with high profile clients such as Burberry. As a video artist Michael has exhibited his work in many places, including the Pompidou in Paris and the V&A in London. He was commissioned to create work for the British Council, India and also worked creating live show visual content for the AV electronica band, Coldcut for number of years. He is involved in a BBC outreach project to teach young people media skills.

Paul Saunderson - Composer
Paul currently works with feature film music composer Ilan Eshkeri (Kick Ass, Young Victoria, Stardust and Layer Cake) and renowned film music producer Stephen McLaughlin (produced the score to "Heat" "About a Boy" "Interview with a Vampire" "Die Hard"). Steve and Ilan work together out of Northpole Studio in West London. Paul often records at Abbey Road. The most recent projects Paul has assisted on include Kick Ass, London Boulevard, (with Kasabian) and Coriolanus, (Dir. Ralph Fiennes - To be released). His next major production at the studio is Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English Reborn. Paul’s fantastic score for RU-486: The Last Option was what led him to be the chosen composer for The Grind.
